During her undergraduate studies in English and Music at the University of Birmingham, Fiona studied with Jenni Philips at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and won first prize in the University of Birmingham’s Concerto Competition.
In 2010 she took up a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, gaining a Masters in Performance with distinction. During her time there, her teachers included Gordon Hunt, Richard Simpson and Alison Teale on oboe and Jane Marshall on Cor Anglais.
Fiona currently performs in various orchestras around the UK, including the Kantanti Ensemble and the Dartington Festival, Multistorey and London Mahler Orchestras.
She is much in demand as a chamber musician, recording and performing internationally with ensembles such as the London Myriad Ensemble and the Landseer Oboe Trio.
Fiona has been Head of Woodwind at Whitgift School since 2016.
